GARDENS GALORE - Press Release

League City Garden Club Announces
5th Annual “Making Garden Memories” Garden Walk
Saturday, September 19, 2015, 10am To 4pm

Peek at some of the most imaginative gardens in League City as the League City Garden Club invites you to attend the club’s 5th Annual Garden Walk, “Making Garden Memories,” on Saturday, September 19, 2015, from 10am to 4pm.

Each Garden Walk ticket costs $10 in advance, $15 on event day, and will be available at the following League City locations:

· Nana’s Attic—501 E. Main St.

· Tate’s Frame Shop—1818 W. Main St.

In addition tickets can be purchased from any garden club member or by clicking here.

The Garden Walk includes six private home gardens, hidden League City gems, stunning with seasonal color, whimsical signs, bubbling waterfalls, mosaic creatures, and a profusion of botanical wonders. Discover surprising treasures such as fanciful birdbaths, statuesque sculptures, ornamental birdhouses, swaying hammocks, herb-filled wagons, serpentine pathways, and restful retreats replete with vibrant, inviting, plump pillows.

Every garden is designed with imagination, cleverness and creativity, offering living tableaus of seasonal bounty; to entertain with old-fashioned fun, beauty, and delightful whimsy; to invite families and friends to create memories on a cozy veranda, around a crystal pool, across an inviting bridge, or seated on a comfy tree bench, accompanied by the sounds of tinkling bells, and burbling water. Come and stay awhile.

This year’s Garden Walk also features three community gardens: Ned & Fay Dudney Clear Creek Nature Center, hosted by Galveston Bay Master Naturalists; Helen Hall Gardens; and League Park.

The Garden Walk event is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors, meet your neighbors and observe the beauty within League City. League City Garden Club is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization committed to awarding League City youth scholarships and to beautification and conservation of the areas in and around League City.

Guests are invited to attend club meetings. Join the fun the second Wednesday of each month September through May at 10am. Meetings are held at the Hometown Heroes Park Building, 2105 Dickinson Avenue, League City, TX 77573.
