We look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday, September 14, at 12:00 p.m. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a change from our regular meeting time of 10:00 a.m. for SEPTEMBER ONLY. We will meet in the League City recreation room, located behind the Johnny Arolfo Civic Center at 400 W. Walker St, and just adjacent to the swimming pool. Our meetings will go back to the regular time of 10:00 a.m. next month.
The September meeting is a regular business meeting. We will hear the club audit report and everyone will receive our club yearbook for 2022-2023, which includes the membership directory and information about each monthly meeting. We will also hear about the upcoming Garden Walk, our big fundraiser, scheduled for September 24. Judy Anderson and Leslie Wong, our Garden Walk chairpersons, have asked that you bring and turn in your Garden Walk ticket money and any leftover tickets.
Also, please remember to support the horticulture table at the meeting by bringing a plant or cuttings to share or swap, or to donate to the LCGC to sell. Chairperson Judith Taub is also requesting that we donate gently used garden pots and vases to the horticulture table. Seed packs and seeds that you've harvested (include planting and care instructions, please) are also welcome to share at the horticulture table, as are gardening books, magazines and catalogs. Also, your horticulture questions about plant cultivation, pest management, etc. are encouraged. Our members have a wealth of knowledge to share with us!
